EKta Kapoor is making new records on Big Screen as well as in TV Shows.Ekta Kapoor (born June 7, 1975) is the Creative Head of Balaji Telefilms. She is the daughter of Jeetendra and sister of Tushar Kapoor. She has produced a host of television serials based on conflicts in Indian joint families .She is attributed to some sort of superstitious belief.Her most famous television venture has been Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, which started airing on STAR Plus in 2000.Television soap queen and film producer Ekta Kapoor has joined hands with Bhojpuri film production banner Siddhivinaya Media Entertainment to produce two big budget Bhojpuri films.*

Ekta Kapoor is the daughter of actor Jeetendra and Shobha Kapoor. Her younger brother Tusshar Kapoor is also a Bollywood actor. She has produced numerous soap opera, television series and movies. Some soap operas she had worked on include Hum Paanch, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, “Kahin Kissi Roz”, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Pavitra Rishta, Bade Acche Lagte Hain, and Jodha Akbar.[6] Kapoor has also produced the television series Naagin, Ye Hai Mohabbatein, Kumkum Bhagya, Chandrakanta (2017 TV series) , Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki and Kundali Bhagya. She has also launched her fashion series with EK Label.

She ventured into Bollywood movie production in 2001 beginning with Kyo Kii… Main Jhuth Nahin Bolta, Kucch To Hai and Krishna Cottage based on supernatural themes followed in 2003 and 2004. Kyaa Kool Hai Hum starred her brother Tusshar Kapoor. She then went on to co-produce Shootout at Lokhandwala with Sanjay Gupta. Mission Istanbul and EMI – Liya Hai Toh Chukana Padhega in collaboration with Sunil Shetty followed. In 2010 to 2014 she released a number of films including Love Sex aur Dhokha, Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, and Shor in the City. Ekta Kapoor, who celebrated the success of her latest production Half Girlfriend, says at one point she had lost confidence in herself after her films flopped one after another. And because of that, she was initially not sure about producing Half Girlfriend.

Career
Ekta Kapoor started her career at an early age of 17. In the beginning, she interned with Kailash Surendranath, the ad and feature filmmaker, until she decided to turn producer at a very young age.

She produced numerous soap operas like Hum Paanch, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahaani Ghar Ghar ki, Naagin, Chandrakanta (2017 TV series) Ye Hai Mohabbatein, Kum kum Bhagya, Kavach, and Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki. Ekta’s soaps started a new wave in Indian TV, which got her the tag of ‘TV CZARINA’ and the Queen of India TV.
